The Anglistenchor Heidelberg is delighted to invite you to the traditional “Christmas Carols” concert on 16 December at 7 pm in the Stadtkirche Sinsheim and on 17 December at 7 pm in the Friedenskirche in Handschuhsheim. Under the direction of Alexander Albrecht, you can expect a varied selection of English Christmas carols, including works by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Alan Bullard and Bob Chilcott. The highlight of the concert will be the performance of the “Ceremony of Carols” – by Benjamin Britten for women’s choir and harp (played by Philipp Scharli). Furthermore, the male choir of the Anglistenchor, under the direction of répétiteur Yannick Schwencke, will perform classical arrangements such as “Ding Dong Merrily on High”, barbershop versions of well-known pieces such as “Jingle Bells” and contemporary compositions by Jan Wilke.
